How can I do a Mail Merge into a PDF?
Probably the most easiest way is to use standard mail-merge fuctionality of Microsoft Word and then print it with Microsoft Print to PDF system printer. This will produce one PDF file with all the merged pages. OpenOffice will work the same way. If you want separate PDF files for each merged document, again the most easiest way is with Merge Pdf Online PDFMaker plugin (works only in Windows) which comes as part of Merge Pdf Online . It will add Merge to Merge Pdf Online PDF button to Mailings ribbon in Word and you can as well e-mail merged PDFs as attachment. If you have more advanced needs like password protection with individual passwords from file, best what I have found commercially available is Merge Pdf Online plugin AutoMailMerge from evermap. There is as well number of open source utilities or libraries in case you would like to make your own solution, but that’s I believe for completely different forum.
