Is it okay to use the CamScanner app to merge PDF files? Read description first.

Well, not sure what you mean by “scanned by camscanner” but not scanning the documents. If the program reads the pages in any format, it has that data. A scanner image (of any scanner) is a bitmap image. To put the pages together it must know what the pages/images are to arrange them. Now if that processing into a single document is within the phone and not online so you have the originals & the final combined document, then “SAFE from prying eyes” is possible. Phones just like computers are hack-able & anything you send over and kind of connection, goes through a computer at some point is intercept-able. Kind of a joke, but yes any government/hacker can grab your documents if it goes across hard wire phones & internet & cell phones & radio waves… fact of life. If you do not want the “Cloud” part of the camscanner app to have your pdf files, i.e. personal medical documents, bank records, you would have to check to see if the processing of your pdf “merge is in “phone” not “online,” AND MAKE SURE THAT NO AUTO UPLOAD OF DOCUMENT is turned on. Easy way is, turn off the phone connection service in your phone’s setting and try it. Then turn it back on. Only by totally off line work & transferred to another party by memory stick in hand can your prevent a government, corporation or hacker from accessing something. Google pdf freeware for a program that merges pdfs offline for you if you need the privacy. i.e. here is one… there “enhanced is free” you do have to register online for the “Activation key” but everything appeared good and my antivirus and malware did not trigger. Merge PDF: All You Need to Know

I don't think it is necessary for me to explain how to use it to split and merge, but if you are a software engineer I can show & you can understand the rest. I want, do you? i.e. Get your file into a readable format that we can merge with other documents online…” and “Split your document into multiple PDF documents for quick sharing.” It was up and running in 2 minutes with the email sent quickly, there is absolutely no software required. It is free. But I am not a paid software engineer, I am a hobbyist, not a developer. No sign up required just plug in your email address, and you are in, as a guest of the site. I don't get paid, but don't ask questions, this is just the way this works. Yes, all the work (including the processing, the uploading, the converting and saving.
